A large number of Akali Workers especially Youth leaders and workers today descended at the district courts complex here to express its solidarity with Punjab Revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia for taking AAP Convenor and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal to task and renaming him as Accused Arvind Kejriwal (AAK).
More than 20,000 youth spontaneously gathered in and around the court complex here with many more being stranded in traffic jams in various parts of the city even as a State wide call given by AAP asking people to congregate here to support Kejriwal failed to elicit any response.
Mr Majithia, who found it even difficult to enter the court premises due to the mammoth youth gathering, registered his presence in the court of Additional chief judicial magistrate here and set the ball rolling to put Arvind Kejriwal in jail on criminal defamation charges.
Comparing Kejriwal and his gang of supporters to Ali Baba and Chalis Chor, the SAD leader said the number of AAP legislators involved in criminal cases had already crossed the one dozen mark and the day was not far off when it would cross even 40. “Kejriwal is heading a team whose members are accused of molestation and exploitation of women and even anti-national activities as done by its mp Bhagwant Mann by sharing live footage of security arrangements of parliament. He however supports all their actions even as he cries foul when his principal secretary’s office is searched because of severe corruption charges”.
