Boy Dies in Celebratory Firing at Wedding

A 10-year-old boy was killed allegedly in celebratory firing during a wedding function in Gorakhpur and the accused has been arrested, police said.

Shreyansh suffered serious injuries when Dilip Dubey opened fire from an illicit revolver during a wedding reception in Avas Vikas Colony, Kuda Ghat under Cantt police station area late Sunday night, police said.
The incident occurred when the groom’s drunk friend fired in the air from an unlicensed pistol.

The 10-year-old, Shreyansh suffered serious injuries when Dilip Dubey opened fire from an illicit revolver during a wedding reception in Avas Vikas Colony, Kuda Ghat under Cantonment police station area late last night, police said.

The child was rushed to the medical college hospital where he succumbed to the injuries, police said, adding that an FIR has been lodged and the accused has been arrested with .32 bore revolver and an empty cartridge.

The Police have arrested the accused in the case, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
