Meanwhile, acting on a complaint by Arshi Khan’s lawyers, the Human Rights Commission of India (NHRC) has issued notices to the Pune Police Commissioner, the Sr PI – Pune Crime Branch and an official of a Woman’s Rehab Home in Pune. While NHRC officials refused to officially confirm, sources said the notices were issued on Thursday afternoon. A lawyer speaking on behalf of Arshi Khan said that since the notices are not public yet, as they have been sent in sealed envelopes, officials may not be willing to go on record in the matter. The NHRC is trying to ascertain facts of the case. Once they have the “say” of the police in the matter, both parties could be summoned officially, Arshi Khan’s lawyer told IndiaNewsNetwork.IN.
According to Arshi Khan’s publicist and media adviser, Flynn Remedios, the beleaguered model from Mumbai has moved the Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission (MSHRC), the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and the National Commission for Women (NCW) alleging gross human rights violations, in-human treatment and other undignified actions by the Pune police. Her publicist speaking to a tabloid, revealed that Arshi Khan who is currently in hiding till her bail application is heard by the Bombay High Court, has through her lawyers written to the the MSHRC, the NHRC and the NCW seeking their intervention into the in-human treatment meted out to her by the Pune police including the fabricated stories being leaked out to the media.
The crime branch of Pune police received a tip-off on the 24th of October of an alleged sex racket operation run by an agent, Krushna Kafale and Vipul Dahal. Arshi was caught during the raid and kept in custody since then. However the actress created a ruckus on the 25th and managed to flee custody and return home.
Ever since her flee, Arshi has been constantly blaming the police authorities for framing her. Stating that she stayed at the hotel for personal work, she revealed how the cops raided the room and demanded money. Upon refusal of her bribing them, the cops reportedly sought sexual favours from the actress.
“When she refused to give in, they sent her to a rescue home where the caretaker physically abused her and tried to take away her belongings. Arshi had Rs. 20,000 in cash in the bag and thus fought back. During the scuffle, she suffered bruises. A lady cop, who was posted at the rescue home, then abused Arshi, opened the gate and asked her to get out,” said Arshi’s publicist, Flynn Remedios.
The Pune police department has however refused all allegations made by Arshi stating that they had gathered sufficient evidence prior to the raid. Dekho eh video viral ho rahi hai te share karo.
