Man-eater Tigress killed by locals in Uttarakhand

Since September 6, 2016, the tigress had killed 2 people and injured more than 15 others in the vicinity of the Ramnagar area, creating panic amongst locals and tourists alike.The residents around Corbett National Park have something to celebrate. The three-year-old man-eating tigress of Corbett was finally killed today morning by a joint mission of the Forest Department and the local residents of the area who worked on war-footing for 44 days. A mission which cost close to Rs 1 crore saw the use of drones and helicopters for the first time to track the ferocious tigress.

Since September 6, 2016, the tigress had killed 2 people and injured more than 15 others in the vicinity of the Ramnagar area, creating panic amongst locals and tourists alike. The operation came to end today morning when her body was recovered from the sugarcane fields nearby.
